Finnish Director Vesa Manninen’s work can always be recognized by their original aesthetics which usually employ elements of surrealism. Vesa is always full of ideas, he appreciates a non-standard storytelling approach. Vesa got a classical director’s education at the Turku Arts Academy, known for its strong CGI and animation departments. High-quality and original use of VFX is the outstanding feature of many of Vesa’s works. Vesa often works on comedies and is always happy to take up a large-scale historic flick. He is always very careful about selecting set and historically appropriate costume elements. Vesa believes that TV advertisement, music videos and film are all parts of a single art, an art he truly loves. Vesa has authored several short films and is now starting work on a full-scale feature.
